The main focus will be the issue of fast fashion and contemplating the opportunities of degrowth (or better business-as-usual) specifically in the fashion industry. We are interested in bringing together ideas of what is sustainability in the fashion industry currently and what kind of shift may be required in long run - for example provided by circular economy approach, possibilities brought by new technologies or change in the consumer behaviour Today we are discussing with Tone Skårdal Tobiassion. Tone is a journalist and author and has a long and interesting career path, starting off as an editor of fashion magazines to becoming the founder of NICE fashion, which stands for Nordic Initiative Clean & Ethical. She has also been responsible for dissemination of information relating to a major research project in Norway and is also a board member of the Union of Concerned Researchers in Fashion. And this is only a part of everything that Tone has on her plate.
